Editorial Design

Whether you're starting a new publication or looking to redesign an existing one, I can create engaging and visually appealing publications that connect with your audience. With an extensive background in magazine publishing, I blend creativity and strategy to showcase your brand while appealing to your target reader. Let's create something special together…

Latest magazine projects

In recent years, my main magazine projects have been freelance art directing for ‘Simply Scandi’ and ‘Wildflower’ magazine. To keep magazine brand identities consistent, I design across all touch points – including websites ( Simply Scandi), email newsletters, Instagram, Pinterest and any marketing/promotional material that’s needed. I also redesigned the beautiful, digital only brandzine ‘Life & Style’ for Nordic House Ltd and created brandzines for Dunelm and Back in Action (backinaction.co.uk), working closely with The Former Editor.

My magazine background

After initially studying Illustration in Bournemouth and working for design studios in Dorset, a combined love of magazines and interiors led me to a designer position on BBC Good Homes magazine in London. Moving up the career ladder I worked for several well-known newsstand magazines including Style at Home and The Simple Things. In-between my full-time positions, to gain wider knowledge and perspective, I also freelanced for a variety of titles including; Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens, Your M&S Magazine, ASDA magazine, Co-op Food Magazine, Good Food and Sainsbury’s magazine to name a few. I really enjoy the creative process and working on new ideas, and having worked on over 20 new launches and redesigns over the years, I’m certainly not afraid to start with a blank piece of paper…
